Welcome Poets and Enthusiasts alike!
Thank you for your interest in the 9th Annual Poetry Slam! The Poetry Slam is an event that celebrates the art form of Slam Poetry, and the amount of talent that there is on campus. Organized by Miramontes, the event also celebrates women in music and the arts.
The CU Poetry Slam welcomes poets and people of all backgrounds. Through poetry, the event brings together people from all cultures and communities to celebrate roots of hip-hop, beat, and jazz. We encourage the exploration of literature and civic engagement, while emphasizing respect for the artists that perform.
Feel free to sign up to audition, or simply join us at 8:00PM on March 16th, 2012 in the Glenn Miller Ballroom.
